Overnight, Moscow's missile and drone strikes have resulted in electricity outages in multiple districts of Ukraine's capital, the Ukrainian capital.
Nine people were hurt while inhabitants in the city's east were experienced blackouts and faced interruptions to water systems, as stated by municipal leaders.
Meanwhile, a minor was fatally injured in a distinct aerial attack in the Zaporizhzhia region in the country's south-east, based on information from regional authorities.
Russian forces has escalated attacks on power infrastructure over the past few days, while the country's government has called for "real steps" from partner nations to increase pressure on Moscow.
"What's needed is not superficial actions but firm measures - from the America, the EU and the G7 - in delivering air defence systems and applying sanctions," mentioned in a social media post.
He said that numerous aerial vehicles and over thirty rockets targeted Ukraine's energy infrastructure, describing such attacks as "cynical and calculated" and against "everything that sustains normal life" as the weather cools.
Government representatives said Russia was "launching a major assault" and maintenance teams were working to repair systems.
A barrage of missiles struck energy infrastructure and residential structures in Kyiv.
Multiple people injured in the assaults on the city have been hospitalized, as confirmed by local officials.
Local officials said the city endured significant strikes overnight. A young boy was killed and several individuals were wounded.
The strikes come after periods of aerial attacks in the area, parts of which remain under the control of invading troops.
All of Ukraine is in a state of readiness for sophisticated projectile assaults, which are more difficult to spot.
National leaders told reporters that Russia was deliberately attempting to demolish the national power system, with attacks already affecting gas facilities.
